PCIE 3.0 X8 Bandwidth
Normally, One M.2 NVME SSD may reach the full speed of PCIE 3.0X4. But to reach full speed of PCIE 3.0X8, you need to setup RAID 0 (Striped Volume) with 2 NVME SSD at least.
For example:
The performance of Samsung 970 EVO is sequential read/write speeds of 3,500/2,500 MB/s.
With 2/3/4 Samsung 970 SSDs setup RAID 0 (Striped Volume) mode, you can reach sequential read/write speeds of 6,500/6,100 MB/s.
Test Condition:
4 X Samsung 970 EVO, Intel i7 CPU, ASUS Z370 Plus MB, Window 10, Striped RAID setup

Software RAID
Palace can not support hardware RAID, but can support software RAID.
You can setup RAID via Windows or Mac.
You can see the video for how to setup software RAID via windows.

Built-in FAN
To maintain a good performance, full aluminum cover + built-in fan is the best solution.
RPM 8000 Fan offer an effective way for ASM 2824 controller heat dissipation.
|
Placement of NVME SSD
Considering the limited space of 2U/4U server/PC frame, 2 x SSDs on front and 2 x SSDs on back.
The package includes Full-profile rack (4U) and Half-profile rack (2U).

Installation
- Remove the protective film of 10 small square silica gel pad
- Put the small square silica gel pad on the surface of SSD chip/flash
- Insert SSD into PCB board
- Fix the SSD to PCB board with screw
- Secure the PCB board with screw

Power Supply
- PCIE lane offer power supply for controller;
- 15PIN SATA port offer power supply for 4 x NVME SSD.
So please connect 15PIN SATA port before operation, otherwise Palace will not work.
